Did you make sure the previous files were replaced? (i.e. copy and replace in the silly vista window).

You want to replace the existing bulkdata folder. C:\Program Files\CCP\EVE\

No. Extract and replace into C:\Program Files\CCP\EVE\
Otherwise you might end up with a bulkdata folder inside a bulkdata folder :-)

After you have replaced your existing bulkdata folder you should start up you eve client. When I did this I just tried to log in and after 10 or 15 seconds I got the 'patch' message. Once you get the 'patch' message you should have another smaller download. Finally another application will launch and begin the big download.

Aila - I'm not sure what the issue is then. The bulkdata folder fix has worked for me on two clients. There might be a short delay, but there should eventually be 'patch' window.
Also, the total size of 1389mb is what I had too. And once the patch was finished (and I did another tiny patch) everything worked fine.

What is going on guys?
Did you try logging in? Eventually you should get a 'patch' button to push.

Do you have a shortcut or something on your desktop? You should be able to show file location or whatever to find the install folder (even if it's renamed).
